NAYA and UNFPA Kenya are seeking a qualified consultant to develop and design a Menstrual Health microsite.
Under the GoK/United Nations Population Fund 10th Country Programme, this consultancy will deliver a user-friendly, accessible, and visually engaging digital platform that consolidates menstrual health information, advocacy content, and knowledge resources in Kenya.
About the Assignment
In 2025-2026, UNFPA Kenya, in partnership with the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund and other stakeholders, is implementing the "Menstrual Health & Hygiene: Unlocking Women's Power" initiative.
As part of this effort, the consultant will support end-to-end microsite delivery, from planning and UI/UX design to testing, deployment, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will: - Design and develop a responsive microsite that presents menstrual health information in an accessible and user-friendly format. - Structure and integrate key content areas including advocacy materials, reports, stakeholder insights, and resources. - Ensure the microsite is optimized for mobile and web accessibility with strong UX/UI design. - Deploy and test the microsite to ensure functionality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility. - Provide basic training and handover documentation for content management and future updates.
Duration & Timeline
- Duration: 9 calendar days (including weekends)
- Expected Start: Second week of June 2026
- Application Deadline: 6 June 2026 at 1700 EAT
Key Deliverables
- Inception Plan (Day 1)
- UI/UX Design Prototype (Day 2-3)
- Draft Microsite - Functional Version (Day 4-6)
- Testing and Refinement Report (Day 7)
- Final Microsite Deployment (Day 8)
- Handover Package and Basic Training (Day 9)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, or related field.
- Additional certification in UI/UX design or web development is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in website or microsite design and development.
- Strong skills in UI/UX, responsive design, and front-end development.
- Experience with advocacy/NGO/public information platforms is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or similar is desirable.
